- How do you plan to improve our children's education?
A well educated public is the best way to a strong economy. Recent studies have had the U.S. ranked as low as 17th among the industrialized nations. We used to be first! We must reduce the burden on parents who are putting their children through college by making the tuition, room and board payments all tax deductible. Further there should be special programs where the government will pay for a student's college in exchange for the student agreeing to provide an appropriate number of years of service to the country. Please understand that this service does not necessarily need to be military. It could also be: health care, education, park service, disaster aid, etc.
