- Why do you think you would make a good congressman?
Many of us who are running for office have somewhat similar positions. What makes my candidacy special is my background and creative ability to find compromise solutions that work. As a proven business leader and a knowledgeable expert in the field of energy I am someone whom other decision makers in Washington will listen to and take seriously. I believe I am the most capable to help institute change for the better.
- As a Congressman what can you do for this district?
I will help to bring meaningful aid to this region so that we may revitalize our local economy. Investing in areas that will drive the future is essential. Specifically, for those companies like Plug Power, Inverters Unlimited, Ener-G-Rotors, Mechanical Technologies, GE and others who already are or want to develop alternative energy products, I will propose special and immediate tax credits. I will also seek to help those companies and educational institutions that are conducting research in the field of nanotechnology, an important technology base in so many of our products. All of these efforts will be aimed at creating jobs that will stay in this area for the long haul.
